Sclerotherapy
Spider Veins (known as telangiectasia) are small purple/blue/red veins on the skin's surface. Typically these are hereditary but can often worsen with time, hormone changes, pregnancy or immobility. Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure that involves the injection of a chemical solution (Sclerodex®) with a small needle to minimize the visual intensity of the veins.

This is a fast, non-surgical treatment, especially after your first consultation. We typically need several appointments to achieve desired results.

How Sclerotherapy Can Help Your Spider Veins
Consultation prior to treatment is essential to ensure you are the right candidate for this treatment and to discuss goals and treatment plan. Approximately 10% of patients are non-responders to sclerotherapy. We do not treat larger varicose veins at Aestheva.
There may be some minimal discomfort, bruising, temporary increase in redness of the vein and mild swelling immediately after treatment. It typically takes about 3-6 weeks post treatment to appreciate the decrease in visibility of the spider veins and generally requires multiple treatments to reach desired treatment effect.
